I was born in the city island of Portsmouth UK and my passion for art began in early childhood. This early interest laid the foundation for my academic pursuits in media and design at Portsmouth University, where I earned a BA Hons in Media and Design, graduating in 1994. After 25 years of raising a family and working in various community settings, a redundancy, a family illness, and divorce brought me back to my artistic practice as a means of survival.

I spent several years exploring and refining my craft as a painter and I continued my educational journey by attending Central Saint Martins, where I completed my Masters in Fine Art. The environment at Central Saint Martins was transformative, pushing me to experiment and integrate new forms such as audio, film  and writing into my repertoire and  practice.

During this time, I deeply engaged with the concept of liminal spaces, both physical and metaphorical, which has since become a central theme in my work.

Following my graduation from Central St Martins in 2022 I transitioned into my professional art career, establishing myself in both Portsmouth and London. My experiences living and working in these two diverse cities has deeply influenced me, providing a dual perspective that enriches my practice.

Being a founding member of  https://bothgallery.com Est 2023 , an artist led gallery based in Highgate London, has also allowed me to contribute to the art community by supporting emerging and underrepresented artists, further broadening my impact and experience within the art world.
